Il territorio del Comune di Piedimonte Etneo si estende sul versante Nord-Est dell'Etna per circa 2646 ettari, di cui 794 ricadono nel territorio del Parco dell'Etna.Per la sua posizione geografica Piedimonte è luogo di transito per chi vuole raggiungere le parti alte della zona est del vulcano, mantenendo contemporaneamente un facile e veloce accesso alla costa ionica. Le attrattive turistiche sono anche legate alle tradizioni popolari del paese.
